The location was right in the heart of Chiado, so close to shops, restaurants, even the Tagus. The room we stayed in was larger than our two apartments combined with comfy furnishings, and the delicious, healthy breakfast was delivered to our room every morning like clockwork. I already booked a return trip for the spring. Maria at the front desk was an absolute pleasure as was the gentleman who worked evenings. The breakfast staff was also very polite when serving our cart, respectful of our DND sign some mornings. The property itself is historic and beautiful in so many ways. I felt sometimes as if I'd taken a step back into the 18th/19th century with its design and decor (though there isn't an elevator/lift, the stairs are easy enough for most who are not mobility challenged; and the bathroom is modern). I travel frequently and Dear Lisbon Palace Chiado is at the top of my list for accommodations. We can't wait to come back in the spring.

The historic building with beautifully appointed large rooms were exceptional. The panoramic view from our window stretched across the rooftops to Lisbon cathedral and St Jorge's castle on the hill in one direction and over to the expansive river in the other. In the morning you could hear birds singing and church bells ringing. The central location meant we were able to walk almost everywhere and explore the surrounding districts and sites with ease. The staff were super friendly, efficient and always ready to provide information, maps and so on. A big plus is having a large and varied breakfast with fresh juice, coffee, eggs, breads, pastries and yogurt delivered to your room every morning, which felt very luxurious and provided a great start to the day. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel itself was beautiful with regards to architecture. We were in Room 9, and the view was amazing, overlooking the city of Lisbon. But the breakfast was spectacular. Although breakfast was included, the hotel had no breakfast room. Thus, they provided breakfast in your room every morning, and it was absolutely the best breakfast we had during our whole 3 week trip in Europe. Daniel who manned the front desk was also wonderful and wasted no time in sharing his knowledge of the history of the hotel, as well as the history of the city of Lisbon, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff also provided several recommendations for great places to eat. Thank you to the staff of the Palace Chiado Suites for a memorable stay.

I would have given 11 stars if available. Everything here exceeded my expectations. Enormous room w two double floor to ceiling windows with wooden interior shutters. Very comfortable king size bed. Separate "dressing room"/closet area, great shower. Breakfast included and delivered to your room! And what a breakfast! Fresh-squeezed oj, eggs w herbs, fresh fruit, croissants, sweet pastry, cheese and cold meat, and of course a big pot of strong coffee. We felt like royalty. Friendly, helpful staff, short walk to the metro and Rossio train station for your day trip to Sintra. Lots of shopping and restaurants within a 5 minute walk, including several literally 1 minute away.

The location in Chiado was perfect - close to trains, trams, shopping, and nightlife. We loved the room with its beautiful windows, letting in so much light. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the lovely welcome package and sweet notes. The room was spotless. It was spacious and included thoughtful touches such as robes and slippers. The breakfast delivered to the room was out of this world and set us up for a full day of sightseeing. We loved the scrambled eggs, croissants, yogurt, fresh fruit, fresh orange juice, fresh cake, cheese, and more. Just scrumptious! The staff were lovely and so helpful. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Lisbon.
